
Tadala Peggy Chinkwezule serves as the Legal Services Manager and Company Secretary for Export Development Fund Limited. She brings over 15 years of legal experience, including 8 years as a Company Secretary. Admitted to the Malawi Bar in 2011 and as a Notary Public in 2019, Tadala is also a certified Arbitrator with a Diploma in International Arbitration from the African Arbitration Academy (2021).
She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Malawi. Her professional development includes a Certificate in Corporate Governance (Advantage Training), a Certificate in Business Leadership from Clark Atlanta University (USA) as a Mandela Washington Fellow, and specialized training in Export Credit Finance, Investment Project Appraisal, Domestic Arbitration, Sustainable Finance, and International Trade Law.
Tadala’s career spans roles as Legal and Governance Advisor at World Vision International (Malawi), Legal Services Manager at AHL Group PLC (and Company Secretary for its subsidiaries), Legal Counsel at Malawi Revenue Authority, and Senior Legal Aid Advocate at the Ministry of Justice. Her expertise covers financial law, project and structured finance, commercial and corporate law, taxation, procurement, international arbitration, and governance.
She is a member of the Malawi Law Society, Women Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and SADC Lawyers Association, and an affiliate of the Corporate Governance Institute (UK & Ireland).
