Christopher Masanje

Christopher is a legal practitioner, Commissioner for Oaths and corporate governance professional with over 19 years of experience in legal practice spanning both the public and private sectors.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Malawi, obtained in 2006, and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Malawi Law Society as the Southern Region Chapter Representative.

Christopher has extensive expertise in commercial litigation, corporate governance, contract drafting, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. Throughout his career, he has provided legal counsel and advisory services to a wide range of clients, with a strong track record in the preparation of legal opinions, development of legal frameworks and drafting of policies, regulations and codes of conduct.

He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Pious Attorneys, a law firm established in 2016. Prior to founding the firm, he served as a Professional Associate specialising in commercial litigation at Knight & Knight and as a Litigation Partner at Kainja & Dzonzi. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior State Advocate and Senior Legal Aid Advocate in the Ministry of Justice.

In addition to his legal expertise, Mr Masanje possesses significant experience in strategic planning, budgeting, report writing, research, human resources management and organisational administration.
